Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced will be a complete remake.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is finally launching this summer and includes a wealth of new content.
Its existence has been known for a long time, whether officially or not, but Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced has finally been fully revealed. The remake of this fan-favorite game will launch on July 9th. However, it's not just a visual upgrade; many changes have been made to modernize Black Flag, eliminate many of the original game's issues, and add new content.
This open-world game has been completely rebuilt from scratch on Ubisoft's modern Anvil engine – the same engine used for Assassin's Creed: Shadows. The combat system has been improved to feel more like modern AC games, focusing on action and fluidity. Imagine parries, blocks, and brutal finishing moves. The Creative Director of Black Flag Resynced asserts that the game 'is not an RPG,' which will please many Assassin's Creed fans.
The game's signature parkour system has also been modernized. It still uses classic movement styles, but everything is smoother and more fluid; you can swing around corners using hanging baskets, jump from rooftop to rooftop, and climb walls without much thought.
Many of the frustrating aspects of the 2013 version have also been fixed in this remake. There are no more instant mission failures in Resynced; if caught, there's a way to continue the mission. Whether it's fighting or persuading others, missions have been reworked to remove any of the original's frustrations. The world will also expand seamlessly; you won't see loading screens when landing on larger islands in the game, allowing you to simply dock your ship and jump aboard.
Additionally, new content has been added to the game, and some old content has been removed. Before getting to the exciting details, it's worth noting that the remake will not include any DLC from the original game, nor any multiplayer content. Ubisoft wants to focus on the single-player pirate aspect that most fans love.
However, a lot of new content will be added to replace what's missing. Three new officers will be added to the game: Lucy Baldwin, The Padre, and Dead Man Smith. Each has their own quest line and recruitment missions.
