Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Reveals New Characters Along with the Amazing Guardians Team

At the recent Arc World Tour 2025-2026 Grand Finals, the superhero fighting game Marvel's Tokon: Fighting Souls revealed a new superhero for its roster and announced the formation of The Amazing Guardians.

Marvel Studios introduces superhero Peni Parker.

This is a fighting game currently in development by Arc System Works, bringing a Japanese-style graphic approach to traditional Marvel heroes. With several months still to go until its expected release, Arc System Works continues to reveal new details about the game. Recently, the company released a short clip introducing the  Unbreakable X-Men team,  confirming the inclusion of  Wolverine, Magik, Danger  , and  Storm .

While with most fighting games, fans will discuss which characters will be released at launch, with  Marvel Tokon,  much of the speculation revolves around which four-person superhero team will be included. Most recently, Arc System Works revealed the next team to accompany the new superhero: Peni. Unlike  Peni  in  Marvel Rivals  and the Spider-Verse  animated series  , this SP//dr  armored version  of the character looks somewhat more bulky.

The robotic limbs aren't attached to the body, but instead seem to use magnets to hold everything in place. The top of the head is completely open, allowing  Peni  to express her personality while the machine transforms into various forms during combat. She will be a part of the team, alongside Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel  , and  Star-Lord . The latest trailer revealed some new scenes, including  Star-Lord  summoning his ship,  The Milano,  and leading the team to a brand-new arena. 

For Marvel fans, Knowhere  is certainly familiar, having appeared in numerous different versions, from comics and television series to video games and the MCU. The trailer also introduces more plot elements, featuring a mysterious character dressed in pink and white, speaking to people on Earth about the upcoming championship. According to producer Takeshi Yamanaka, this "presenter" is known as Knowhere, a Promoter.

She is an  Elder  of the Universe, a part of an alien race that travels the galaxy to organize high-stakes entertainment events. She has assembled heroes and villains from Earth to participate in a tournament that will decide the fate of the planet. 

Yamanaka also revealed some significant changes in the current version of  Marvel Tokon.  Previous beta tests of  Marvel Tokon  and feedback from the community have helped reshape some parts of the game to refine and improve the overall gameplay.

This includes separate buttons for switching characters or support, faster character switching, and more. Additionally,  Marvel Tokon  not only allows players to create their own teams, but also to name their teams based on characters inspired by the Marvel storyline. These names will also be announced during matches, not just for show.
