Overwatch Welcomes Reign of Talon Season 1 with a Variety of Loot Boxes on Twitch
Starting now, Overwatch players can access Twitch to watch live streams and receive tons of high-quality Loot Boxes.
Overwatch is giving away a bunch of gifts for Season 1 of Reign of Talon.
At the Overwatch Spotlight event on February 4th, Blizzard revealed an ambitious plan for the franchise in the context of Future Earth. Overwatch 2 officially dropped the '2' from its name, launching a story-driven season, and simultaneously introducing five new heroes, along with a host of other changes. This 'soft reboot' was a huge success, with Overwatch breaking the record for concurrent players on Steam within hours of Season 1's release on February 10th.
If all that new content isn't exciting enough, Overwatch is now giving away free gifts to players. On Twitch, fans can get 8 Common Loot Boxes and 2 Legendary Loot Boxes completely free. Meanwhile, PS Plus players can get skins and 5 Tier Skips Battle Passes for free from the PlayStation Store.
To receive a free Loot Box, viewers need to watch a total of 13 hours of any Overwatch streamer on Twitch between now and March 8th. Rewards will be unlocked at each viewing time milestone and can be claimed immediately, as long as your Battle.net account is linked to Twitch . Viewing time is cumulative, meaning players can watch different streamers over several days while maintaining their progress.

Reign of Talon Season 1: Conquest also refreshed the list of items obtainable from Loot Boxes, adding cosmetic items from last year. This gives players a chance to unlock skins, emotes, highlight intros, and many other items from Seasons 15–20.
How to get the PS Plus Overwatch Reign of Talon Season 1 package
The PlayStation Plus bundle is more 'exclusive' as it requires players to subscribe to PS Plus. Those who qualify and already have an Overwatch account can simply go to the PlayStation Store to claim this bundle for free. The skins and Battle Pass Tier Skips will then be automatically added to the game.
This package doesn't have an official expiration date yet, but previous PS Plus Overwatch packages typically had redemption periods of up to 3 months, so it's highly likely players will have a similar duration this time around.
Steps to follow:
- I have an active PlayStation Plus subscription.
- Link PlayStation Plus to Battle.net
- Get the Overwatch Null Sector Orisa Bonus Pack for free on the PlayStation Store.
- Battle Pass Tier Skips and the Null Sector Orisa skin will be automatically added to your linked Overwatch account.
Previously, images of the PS Plus bundle mistakenly showed it as including 20 Battle Pass Tier Skips, even though the description correctly stated 5; this error has now been corrected.
This is a Legendary-tier skin, first appearing in the Overwatch Archives event in 2017. This outfit transforms Orisa into a mindless killing machine, having previously appeared as an enemy in several Invasion PvE missions. While players can purchase this skin in the Hero Gallery for 1,500 Overwatch Credits, receiving it for free is still a very worthwhile offer for those who don't already own it.
