Steam quietly adds 6 new free games: Receiving rave reviews, download and own them forever.

Without any major advertising campaign, Steam recently quietly added six completely free games to its library.

What's noteworthy is that these aren't the familiar free-to-play games, but rather games that users can download and keep forever without any cost. In the context of increasingly discerning gamers, free games are often labeled as low-quality. However, surprisingly, many titles on this list are receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews from the community, even showing signs of reaching a "Very Positive" rating if they receive enough reviews in the future.

Six free games currently attracting attention on Steam include King's Lynn Leisure Farm, Mask Da Fart, Spire of Chaos: Arcana Unleashed, Looters, BRAINBUGS: The Game, and Faultline.EXE.

While not blockbusters, each game has its own unique style, ranging from relaxing simulations to action, role-playing, and sci-fi thrillers. King's Lynn Leisure Farm offers a gentle farming experience with an idle mechanism, perfect for chilling after work. Meanwhile, Mask Da Fart takes a completely opposite approach, transforming office life into a hilarious stealth game where players must conceal awkward and comical situations.

In terms of action, Spire of Chaos: Arcana Unleashed stands out with its soulslike gameplay combined with tarot-style elements, offering fast-paced battles and multi-stage boss fights. It's also a game that has received many positive reviews for its solid combat mechanics. If you enjoy playing with friends, Looters is a worthwhile option with its split-screen co-op mode, requiring close coordination to complete challenging infiltration missions.

The other two titles, BRAINBUGS: The Game and Faultline.EXE, lean towards a more experimental experience. One is a story-driven game about the life of a delivery driver with a quirky style, while the other is a sci-fi thriller that allows players to hack the system and make choices that directly affect the outcome.

In particular, Faultline.EXE impresses with its 12 different endings, demonstrating the significant investment made despite being a free game.

The common thread among these six games is their focus on clear gameplay ideas rather than trying to do everything. Despite their small scale, they deliver a complete experience in a short duration, are easily accessible, and require minimal grinding.

In addition, being completely free makes the games easily accessible to players, leading to an initial wave of positive reviews. Many gamers believe that the quality of these games far exceeds expectations, especially considering the zero-cost price.
