Unexpected Leak: List of Nearly 60 Games for Xbox Game Pass Starter Edition

A fairly reliable internal source recently leaked a list of nearly 60 games for Xbox Game Pass Starter – a subscription package that is expected to be released in the future.

The Starter Edition of Xbox Game Pass was first leaked in late April 2026, after being discovered through data-mining from a recent Discord build. Initial information described it as the basic package priced at $9.99 per month, offering limited access to Xbox Cloud Gaming and a catalog of 'over 50 games'. This leak was later expanded upon by Billbil-kun, a well-known leaker with years of accurate information.

In a Dealabs article published on April 24th, this French insider shared what is believed to be a complete list of games for Xbox Game Pass Starter Edition . The leaked catalog includes 58 titles, including cross-platform games and those with separate console and PC versions (for example, Cities: Skylines – Remastered). This library largely overlaps with the Xbox Game Pass Essential package, which was originally launched as XGP Core in September 2023.

The leaked list only includes two games not currently in the Essential package: Doom 64 and the original Psychonauts . Conversely, it's missing Goat Simulator , even though it's still in the Essential library. This discrepancy is understandable, as Goat Simulator is expected to leave Xbox Game Pass on April 30th, possibly even before the official announcement of the Starter Edition.

At $9.99 per month, the Starter Edition is expected to be priced similarly to Xbox Game Pass Essential. However, due to the rumored inclusion of Discord Nitro, this package may be geared more towards PC gamers than Essential, which is distinctly cross-platform. Initial leaks also mention users getting 10 hours of Xbox Cloud Gaming per month, rotating digital rewards, and in-game benefits. For comparison, Xbox Game Pass Essential already offers unlimited streaming access starting in August 2025.

In addition to announcing a nearly complete list of games, Billbil-kun also narrowed down the potential launch date for the Starter Edition, stating that the service will appear no later than mid-May 2026. It remains unclear whether the Starter Edition will be region-restricted like the Ultimate package.
