The centerpiece of The Shadowgrapher is the appearance of Follie, the 64th Warframe in the game. This character boasts a horror-themed design with a black ink theme, coupled with a bizarre set of abilities, creating gameplay different from previous Warframes. Beyond simply adding a character, Follie also plays a central role in the new game mode called Follie's Hunt.

Follie's Hunt is an asymmetrical co-op survival mode where players must cooperate to face horror-themed challenges. The combination of action and tense atmosphere promises to deliver a fresh experience for the Warframe community.

The return of Vesper's Relay

In addition to new content, The Shadowgrapher also marks the return of Vesper's Relay – a location that was destroyed in the storyline back in 2014. This version has been significantly redesigned, offering a familiar yet fresh experience for veteran players. Furthermore, the update adds numerous quality-of-life improvements, social features, and new customization options for the Operator and Drifter.

Digital Extremes also made adjustments to the early game missions and many legacy quests to improve the experience for new players. These changes make the transition to Warframe smoother. Notably, this update includes Warframe's expansion to the Nintendo Switch 2 platform, in addition to iOS, Android, PC, and consoles. This helps the ARPG game, which was released in 2013, maintain its strong appeal and reach more new players globally.
