Siege warfare is one of the most important and exciting activities in the MMORPG game Lineage2M.

It's been almost a year since VNGGames and NCSOFT formed a joint venture called NCV GAMES, and the popular MMORPG Lineage2M is also nearly a year old. Recently, the game revealed a new version called Siege Warfare, promising to be a top-tier arena for gamers who love PvP.

What is Siege Warfare?

Siege warfare is one of the core activities of the game Lineage2M. It's where guilds compete for control of major cities like Dion and Giran. This isn't just a typical free-for-all battle, but an arena where guilds can assert their dominance and seize enormous economic benefits on each server.

In particular, for this first season of the Siege War event, publisher NCV GAMES has revealed extremely attractive rewards. Besides at least 100,000 Diamonds from the Tax, Guild Leaders will also receive a selectable Legendary Armor Chest upon capturing Dion Castle and a Legendary Weapon Chest upon capturing Giran Castle. These can be considered super equipment that will help gamers significantly increase their power in future battles.

The combination of Siege Warfare and Server Transfer events requires guild leaders to make shrewd strategic decisions. This is an opportunity for guilds on less populated servers to recruit players seeking a long-term 'home'. However, be wary of cross-server 'robber' groups. If they succeed in capturing two castles, the server will not only lose a large amount of tax-taxed Diamonds but also extremely valuable Legendary equipment.

Offense - Defense - Tactics

These are the three main elements in Lineage2M's Siege Warfare mode. Mastering these three elements will help you easily defeat opponents and capture resource-rich fortresses. Of these, "Attack" is the most important element; players must attack the fortress to achieve "Success." Key points to note regarding Attack include:

• Capture the Gathering Point : Teleport to the gathering points (Left, Right, and Center) to establish a respawn location right next to the city gate.
• Break through the city gates : The only gateway to glory. Regardless of which guild you belong to, you must break through the city gates to advance to the next stage. 
• Destroy the Guardian Stone: This is the crucial point. Only by destroying this stone will the portal to the Inner City appear, paving the way for you to reach the Throne Room.
• Capture the Throne: Finally, once you and your guild have successfully eliminated your rivals, you can begin the Capture the Throne phase to move on to the Tower Defense stage.

If offense is the starting point, then defense is the decisive factor in determining victory or defeat. Key points to consider in defense include:

• City Gate Defense : Unlike siege warfare, the objective for the defending side is to protect the city gate for as long as possible. You and your guild can constantly move between designated assembly points to limit the enemy's concentration of troops.
• Protecting the Guardian Stone : If an incident occurs during the defense of the city gate that allows the enemy to successfully breach the gate, you and your teammates should return to protect the Guardian Stone, thereby preventing the enemy's advance. 
• Defend the Throne to the Death : If you still fail against powerful opponents, the only thing you can do is defend the Throne with your guild members. If you can hold out long enough, the fortress will remain yours. 

Last but not least, we must mention the element of Strategy, which helps players "turn the tide" in difficult situations. Let's look at some factors that make Strategy so important:

• The 15-Minute Rule : One of the interesting aspects of the Siege War is the 15-minute defense rule. If a guild can successfully defend the castle for 15 minutes, the Dion/Giran castle will belong to that guild. 
• Tap and Release, Unleash and Unleash : If no guild can defend the fortress for 15 minutes out of the 50 minutes, then the guild that captures the fortress in the final seconds will be the winner.
• Mercenaries : For mid-tier servers facing invasions from other servers, you can 'hire' other players on your server to help defend your fortress more easily. While the hiring fee might be a bit 'expensive,' it's still better than losing everything.

It's safe to say that this Siege War event will bring a breath of fresh air to the MMORPG Lineage2M. Especially with the upcoming Server Transfer event, it will allow servers to settle old and new scores all at once.
