Xbox Partner Preview 2026 Brings 13 Day-One Games to Game Pass
The recent Xbox Partner Preview event not only announced several notable game release dates, but also impressed viewers with 13 games that will have a Day-One release on the Game Pass service.
The recent Xbox Partner Preview March 2026 event – surprisingly hosted by Aaron Paul (famous for Breaking Bad and Dispatch) – showcased a total of 19 games in 30 minutes, with 13 titles set to be available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on launch day. While many consider the service to be quite expensive, it's hard to deny that the quality of recent games is increasingly commensurate with the quantity.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the event wasn't what was shown, but what was missing. Many fans were hoping for a Persona 4 Revival remake, with the live chat overflowing with requests for the game, but ultimately it didn't happen. Nevertheless, with seven brand-new games and updates on highly anticipated titles, the showcase still generated excitement and maintained a good pace throughout.
The Expanse: Osiris Reborn
One of the first games to join Game Pass from this event is Super Meat Boy 3D, launching on the service on March 31st. Shortly after, Hades 2 will also arrive on Xbox and Game Pass on April 14th. In addition, most of the remaining games are expected to launch on the service on day one in 2026 or 2027. Rebellion Developments' sci-fi survival horror game set on a turbulent alien planet is scheduled for release in spring 2027.
Alien Deathstorm
Ascend to ZERO
Next up is a game that uses time as a weapon, set in a Roguelike action world inspired by Cyberpunk, with pixel graphics. The game is scheduled for release on July 13th and will also be available on Game Pass at the same time. Another standout title is a lighthearted photography game that lets players explore interesting locations and capture Australian wildlife, even engaging in "Play for Real Life" activities. This family-friendly game is expected to launch in Fall 2026.
Bluey's Happy Snaps
The Eternal Life of Goldman
Also in 2026, there's a game where players take on the role of the old man Goldman , aiming to defeat a divine entity. Notably, his only weapon is a staff, and he possesses a few special skills. Meanwhile, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn offers an action-packed RPG experience, where players are drawn into a chaotic solar system, and is scheduled for release next spring. For a more relaxed experience, Annapurna Interactive is a suitable choice.
Forever Ago
The game follows the character on a journey of reminiscing about life, exploring unfulfilled dreams and the power of friendship, and is scheduled for release in the fall of 2026. Then we have a game that offers a fun atmosphere with its co-op gameplay. Players will explore the sewer system and gather food for their pet. This game is expected to be released in June of this year. The list continues with [Game Name], a darker experience that combines two seemingly contrasting genres: farm simulation and detective fiction.
Despite its core gameplay revolving around a farm simulation, the game offers a twist based on a serial killer hiding among the town's residents. Xbox Game Pass users will be able to experience it when it launches on August 14th. Next up is a third-person action game set in feudal Korea, with a similar style, and expected to launch in 2027.
Another notable title is a new project from a game studio specializing in series – with an incredibly ambitious setting: 5 major cities in 5 different eras. The game will have a special broadcast on May 6th. Rounding out the list is a completely free-to-play open-world gacha RPG, with exclusive rewards for Game Pass subscribers. Overall, while this is just a glimpse into the near future, this list promises a highly engaging experience for Game Pass users.
