The new G325 Lightspeed gaming headset is a great and affordable option.

Logitech has been very strategic in its feature selection for the G325, rather than trying to cram in as many features as possible and compromise on everything.

Logitech's latest budget gaming headset packs all the essential features for those who want a completely wireless experience without any unnecessary accessories. The Logitech G325 Lightspeed completely eliminates the microphone boom, instead using an integrated microphone, and only offers 2.4GHz and Bluetooth wireless audio connectivity, with no wired connection options. The result is a stylish, lightweight, easy-to-use headset at a great price.

Logitech has been very strategic in its feature selection for the G325. Instead of trying to cram in as many features as possible and compromising on everything, they have focused on providing only wireless audio and using only the built-in microphone, rather than a separate microphone, to create a clean and efficient setup.

To charge the battery, a fairly short (68cm) USB-A to USB-C cable is included in the box, and aside from the wireless receiver, that's all you get with these headphones. Speaking of the case, it uses minimal plastic, with cardboard used for padding inside and a paper pouch for the headphones.

The G325 headphones have a simple, rounded design that's very pleasing to the eye. Its predecessor, the G435, had a much more angular, square design, which, while appealing, was too flashy, evoking the image of a 'gaming headset!' compared to the smooth lines of the G325. The consistent color scheme also looks great, to the point where I wonder why they used contrasting colors for the volume buttons and the cable connecting the earcups to the headband. They don't detract from the overall look, but they stand out more than some might expect.

These headphones have very few features. The two holes on the front and side of the left earcup indicate the placement of two microphones working in parallel to provide 'AI noise reduction,' designed to minimize ambient noise such as keyboard typing and other voices. However, Logitech has indicated that these microphones will pick up the voices of people in front more easily than a microphone with a lever pointed toward the mouth.

This combination immediately puts the G325 on the list of affordable wireless gaming headsets. It has its limitations, but overall, Logitech's latest product is an easily recommended option.

Launched at $79.99/£69.99, the G325 is Logitech's second-cheapest wireless gaming headset, based on suggested retail price. As is typical with a brand-new product, the G325 has to compete with cheaper options that have been on the market longer and are currently discounted.

With its stylish, lightweight, and durable design, easy-to-use controls, convenient wireless connectivity, and built-in microphone, the Logitech G325 is a budget-friendly yet very user-friendly gaming headset. Sound quality isn't outstanding, but it delivers vibrant, powerful, and impactful audio, while the microphone works well for voice communication and battery life is acceptable.
