Eidos Montreal lays off 124 employees!

According to recently shared information, Eidos Montreal – the developer of the Deus Ex series – is in the process of laying off 124 employees.

In a post on its LinkedIn page, Eidos Montreal announced a round of layoffs affecting 124 employees. According to them, these layoffs are "a consequence of changes in project needs and the widespread impact on development and support teams."

In particular, in addition to the 124 affected employees, David Anfossi – the head of the studio – will also be leaving the company.

The transition process is underway, and we will provide further updates once the new leadership team has been selected.

At the time of writing, Eidos Montreal is in the process of developing a number of projects simultaneously – including a new Alien game .

Currently, we don't know whether these staff cuts will affect ongoing projects.
