Lineage W – An Exciting Challenge for the Top Server Guild Race
The way the roles of the classes in Lineage W are designed creates an exciting gameplay experience for gamers who want to prove themselves in the power struggle and climb to the top of the server.
Lineage W was revealed two weeks ago and officially launched at a showcase event in Ho Chi Minh City on April 18th. The exciting information revealed at these key milestones is enough for gamers interested in the product to understand the basic features that differentiate the game from its siblings in the series and other typical MMORPGs.
The competitive structure is attractive and distinct among the 6 classes.
Continuing the 28-year creative tradition of the Lineage series, Lineage W boasts unique and distinctive designs that allow it to coexist with its siblings without directly competing with them. Among these, the competitive structure between players, ranging from individual players to guilds and alliances, has been researched and developed differently in the upcoming SEA version.
We have announced the roles of the 6 classes: Elf, Spirit Sword, Monarch, Mage, Marksman, and Knight, with deeper distinctions to create a clearer division of tasks.
The Lord, with the privilege of creating Blood Oaths and establishing guilds, plus the unique aura buff that increases the entire team's strength, becomes the heart of any battle. If well protected, the Lord will help the entire team become stronger by continuously maintaining their support power.
Knights, with their superior melee combat abilities, will serve as a solid shield for their teammates, coupled with stunning moves that allow allies behind them to deliver decisive blows. With their aggressive charge, Knights will be a powerful vanguard, disrupting enemy formations and creating space for teammates to unleash damage from the rear.
With their speed and agility, coupled with their long-range archery skills, the Elves become a kiting nightmare for any lone prey. When shielded, they become a fearsome sniper, moving as fast as lightning from behind.
Mages are considered 'mobile artillery' as they possess long-range spells and deal area-of-effect elemental damage. In a team with coordinated shielding and protection, Mages are a machine that unleashes a barrage of elemental damage on the enemy team while also providing healing to help teammates survive the fight.
In contrast to the Mage, the Spirit Sword is a type of warrior that focuses damage on a single target to quickly eliminate opponents. This is an extremely sharp offensive weapon with the ability to deal burst damage, penetrate defenses, and use physical evasion to maintain their position on the battlefield.
Sharpshooters can be considered a powerful ally, possessing the ability to deal massive burst damage, attack from a distance, and especially the ability to interrupt enemy abilities. If Sharpshooters strike at the right time, the enemy's decisive attacks will be disrupted, and the tide of battle will have a chance to turn in your favor.
Challenge the talent of nation-building entrepreneurs.
The strong differentiation of roles across the 6 classes, combined with Lineage W's exclusive Blood Oath function, creates a free and creative environment for players to cooperate and seek both individual and collective strength. The game then resembles a startup company with the CEO as the head. Normally, the boss would be very powerful and have more authority than others, but in a startup structure, that's not the case.
A single boss cannot handle all the work of a company, so skilled professionals and engineers are indispensable roles in a collective model. Lineage W has accurately applied this very practical structure. And just like a company, the Lord must calculate how to attract as many members as possible to their organization while encouraging talented individuals to stay and serve, planning for their further development. Each class has its own value in battle and deserves respect. They are completely proactive in deciding which guild's Blood Oath they feel is most worthy of joining.
By mastering this secret, talented and creative players can build their guilds like professional organizations, with the Guild Leader acting as the representative and founder. Meanwhile, the remaining classes will perform their roles well in exchange for commensurate rewards from the organization. When the roles within the group coordinate well, it will create an extremely powerful guild and alliance capable of competing in siege battles and asserting their dominance on the server.
This is where Blood Oath truly shines, showcasing its unique design. This function offers a challenge of sacrifice and dedication from members, in exchange for shared benefits for the collective. If a member leaves the group, the benefits disappear, and they become weakened. Conversely, the stronger the group, the greater the benefits Blood Oath provides, and joining significantly strengthens a player. Therefore, large organizations become targets for warriors to join and also targets for competing organizations to conquer.
This is the unique world that Lineage W aims for. It's a place where gamers, as warriors, seek their life's purpose. Becoming a powerful leader of a formidable organization or becoming an indispensable pillar of that organization, second only to the leader and highly sought after, each holds its own unique appeal.
