Pokémon Pokopia sold over 2.2 million copies in just four days.
Pokémon Pokopia, with its near-universal acclaim, became one of the franchise's best-selling spin-off games.
Pokémon Pokopia has made history, as Nintendo and The Pokémon Company announced today that the spin-off game has sold 2.2 million copies worldwide in just four days. Over one million of those were sold in Japan alone.
These figures include both the card and digital versions, both of which require the game to be fully downloaded to the console to function. While details on sales during Mario Kart World's launch are scarce, Pokopia is likely to be the second-best-selling Switch 2 exclusive after the racing game, and on par with Pokémon Legends: ZA Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, also released on the original Switch.
Regarding Pokopia's ranking compared to other spin-off titles, Joe Merrick of Serebii reports that it is currently the 13th best-selling game, behind Pokémon Ranger Shadows of Almia with 2.35 million copies sold. It would be no surprise if Pokopia, with its almost universally acclaimed reception, becomes one of the franchise's best-selling spin-off titles.
