Savvy Games will spend over $6 billion to acquire Mobile Legends: Bang Bang!
Savvy Games , a Saudi Arabian investment company, recently signed an agreement worth over $6 billion with ByteDance to acquire Moonton, the developer of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang .
Last month, it was reported that ByteDance was preparing to sell Moonton for somewhere between $6 billion and $7 billion to Savvy Games – a company owned by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund.
Nikkei Asia has now confirmed that the deal is almost complete.
Specifically, they stated that ByteDance and Savvy Games have 'signed an agreement and the completion of the deal will depend on regulatory approvals'. In addition, the CEO of Moonton also shared that this deal will give them 'more opportunities for expansion' to help deliver 'a better gaming experience for gamers worldwide'.
A ByteDance representative said, "This deal marks the next milestone in the company's journey."
