In a press release, Erik Odeldahl, Creative Director and co-founder of Fast Travel Games, expressed his excitement:

For the past 15 years, we've admired how PAYDAY immerses players in action-packed scenarios that rival Hollywood crime movies, where they personally carry out robberies. This year, we're taking that experience to the next level with PAYDAY: Aces High. Get ready, load your weapons, and team up with up to three accomplices in a perfectly immersive environment that only VR technology can deliver!

Starbreeze Entertainment CEO Adolf Kristjansson also shared his heartfelt thoughts on this collaboration. He emphasized that PAYDAY is one of the most iconic brands in the gaming industry, with a global community of over 50 million players. Partnering with Fast Travel Games – a world-renowned VR development studio with over a decade of experience – is seen as the most strategic and perfect move to bring the PAYDAY universe to the virtual reality platform.

With Aces High, the development team didn't simply want to create a remake. On the contrary, Kristjansson asserted that this was an expansion of the PAYDAY universe, inviting players to plan and execute missions together in a completely immersive virtual reality environment.

Under the leadership of Fast Travel Games, the game has been rebuilt and optimized from scratch specifically for VR, promising to deliver a completely new standard of realism for this genre.
