High On Life 2's release date on Nintendo Switch 2 has been postponed.
Developer Squanch Games has officially announced a delay in the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 version of High On Life 2. According to the new plan, the game will be released on July 1st instead of the originally scheduled April 20th.
In a statement to the gaming community, the Squanch Games team shared that the delay (even if only for a short time) was absolutely necessary. The studio affirmed its commitment to delivering the highest quality experience. Spending extra time and effort on production will help the studio better meet the stringent standards of both the developers and the expectations of the fans.
Here is the original statement from the developer's representative:
"Hello gamers! Because the Squanch Games team is always striving to deliver the highest quality experiences, we've decided to (slightly) delay the release of High On Life 2 for Nintendo Switch 2. This additional effort in the final stages of production will allow the studio to better meet not only our high standards for the game, but also yours."
With the release date moved to July 1, 2026, Squanch Games also made an important announcement regarding pre-orders. Specifically, all pre-orders for the digital version will be automatically canceled. However, orders for the physical version will remain active and are expected to be shipped in July.
Previously, High On Life 2 was officially released to the gaming community on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC platforms (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store) on February 13th.
