Xbox announces March Partner Preview, revealing many new titles.
Microsoft has officially announced that the Xbox Partner Preview event will return on March 27th, promising a host of new announcements, first gameplay footage, and first-day launch titles on the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service.
According to the company, the event will last approximately 30 minutes and will focus entirely on third-party partners, rather than internal Xbox studios. This means viewers shouldn't expect major first-party projects, but rather titles from independent developers and publishing partners.
Several titles have been confirmed to appear on the show, including Stranger Than Heaven, a third-person action game from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the team behind the Yakuza/Like a Dragon and Judgment series. Also included is The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, a Mass Effect-style RPG developed by Owlcat Games, along with a new update for STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl from GSC Game World.
In addition to the confirmed titles, Microsoft also emphasized that there will be more 'brand new announcements,' suggesting that the event will not only provide updates but may also reveal previously undisclosed projects. The use of phrases like 'world premiere' and 'first-look gameplay' also indicates that viewers can expect official announcement trailers or first gameplay footage of new games.
This event takes place against the backdrop of significant strategic and personnel changes recently undertaken by Xbox. Following leadership shifts, Asha Sharma has taken over as head of Xbox's gaming division. These changes are believed to have brought a new direction to the brand, including a readjustment of previous marketing campaigns.
The Xbox Partner Preview in March also took place right after the GDC 2026 event, where Microsoft shared more information about the next-generation console codenamed Project Helix. This makes the upcoming event a continuation of a communication strategy to maintain the attention of the gaming community.
Although not a major showcase focusing on internal blockbusters, the Xbox Partner Preview is still considered an opportunity for players to quickly catch up on noteworthy third-party projects and discover new games that may be released in the near future.
