Wednesdays - A masterpiece of soul-healing art is coming to mobile.
Wednesdays is a rare game that dares to delve into the sensitive corners of human psychology in a realistic and respectful way.
After garnering numerous prestigious awards for its multi-layered storytelling and profound humanistic message, publisher ARTE Experience has officially confirmed that it will bring the emotionally charged journey of Wednesdays to Android and iOS platforms on March 25, 2026.
This is the result of a passionate collaboration between ARTE France, The Pixel Hunt, and the talented screenwriter Pierre Corbinais – the man behind the successes of Haven and Road 96: Prologue – promising an experience not only to play, but also to empathize and reflect upon.
The story begins with Tim, an adult who inadvertently reawakens buried childhood memories from two decades ago when he plays Orco Park again – an old video game from the 90s. Like an intricately mosaic, Wednesdays Mobile doesn't tell the story chronologically but guides the player through fragmented memories, where you'll embody Tim's family members to piece together his turbulent past.
The game explores the theme of child sexual abuse – a painful issue often considered taboo in society – but does so with an incredibly subtle lens, absolutely avoiding shocking graphics and focusing entirely on the journey of finding answers to agonizing questions about normalcy, belief, and the process of character formation.
The unique selling point of Wednesdays Mobile lies in the superb blend of two contrasting yet perfectly complementary art styles. While Tim's colorful and emotional memories are recreated through the graphic novel-style artwork of artist Exaheva, the world of Orco Park is presented in the nostalgic pixel art style of artist Nico Nowak, reminiscent of the golden age of video games in the 90s.
Here, you are free to build games and decorate the park to unlock new memories in any order you desire, creating a highly personalized experience where each player will have a different path to discovering the truth.
Beyond being just an entertainment game, Wednesdays Mobile is designed to be a bridge to reach everyone, even those who have never held a game controller. With flexible customization options ranging from text size and easy-to-read fonts to adjustable display speed, this artfully crafted game ensures that anyone can immerse themselves in the experience without being hindered by skill or technological barriers.
In particular, the 'Supporter' edition opens a behind-the-scenes window, allowing players to participate in interactive interviews with the creative team to better understand the process behind creating a healing work of art. Despite its somewhat heavy subject matter, ultimately, Wednesdays is a hymn to hope and recovery, affirming that silence can be broken to make way for genuine faith and understanding.
