The Expanse: Osiris Reborn announces release date.
Developer Owlcat Games has officially confirmed the release date for the third-person action RPG The Expanse: Osiris Reborn.
The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is a story-driven action RPG set in the vast The Expanse universe. The game focuses on companion systems, pivotal player decisions, and a highly fluid third-person combat system.
Playing as a Pinkwater Security mercenary who miraculously survived the Eros disaster, the player must build an elite team to fight against the Protogen Corporation and their inhumane experiments. While sharing a universe with the original novels and television series, the game will offer a completely independent storyline and character system.
In addition to confirming the game's availability on Game Pass upon launch, Owlcat Games also announced a closed beta test starting on April 22nd and lasting until release. Access to this beta will be exclusive to gamers who own the Collector's Edition or Miller's Pack through the game's official website.
During the beta phase, players will explore a remote space station owned by Pinkwater Security after escaping the devastating events on Eros. In this new environment, gamers can interact with the inhabitants, experiment with dialogue options, and directly experience the combat mechanics and upgrade system as those behind the attack on Eros begin their pursuit.
The developers emphasized that the goal of the beta test was to gather valuable feedback from the community to refine the final version. Players can participate in the experience on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. However, because the game is still under development, performance may not be stable and may not reflect the final quality of the product. The company also recommends that console users experience the game on Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 for optimal performance.
