LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Announces New Release Date Earlier Than Expected

Warner Bros. Games has officially announced a new, earlier-than-expected release date for LEGO Batman: Legacy of Dark Knight.

The new LEGO Batman game has announced an earlier-than-expected release date.

LEGO Batman is the fourth official game in TT Games '  LEGO Batman  series . Like its predecessors, this latest game isn't a live-action adaptation of a movie, but instead tells a separate story. However, the game will recreate countless memorable moments from the long history of DC's most famous superhero. Recently,  Warner Bros.  released a very short teaser trailer to announce the official release date.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight  was originally scheduled  for release on May 29th, but Warner Bros.' teaser trailer moved it up a week, to May 22nd. Notably, this new release date means the game will launch just 3 days after the release of LEGO Batman, and 1 day after the release of  Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. 

The first few weeks of May will see the release of  Mixtape, Directive 8020  , and the Switch 2 version of  Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.  Additionally,  007 First Light  is scheduled for release on May 27th.

The initial release date may have been close to the 007 blockbuster First Light.

Although Warner Bros.' official announcement didn't reveal the specific reason for the earlier release date, those who purchased the  Deluxe Edition  will get to play three days early – on May 19th. The game is currently available for pre-order, and those who pre-order will also receive a costume set inspired by the film.

Furthermore, the  Deluxe Edition  will include the "Legacy Collection" DLC pack,  adding costume packs such as  Arkham Trilogy, Batman Beyond,  and  Party Music.  Each pack will include 7 different game costumes (corresponding to 7 playable characters), a  Batmobile skin,  and 5 cosmetic items for  the Batcave . 

Finally, players who own the  Deluxe Edition  will receive access to  the "Mayhem Collection,"  a DLC pack scheduled for release in September 2026. This DLC pack adds story missions, along with a  Mayhem mode,  playable versions of  Harley Quinn  and  Joker,  and a  Sinister Pack  that includes seven optional outfits for the original cast of characters, a  Batmobile skin,  and a set of Batcave decorations.
