First Stand 2026: BLG Affirms Its Position, TSW Officially Ends Its Journey

At the end of the third day of First Stand 2026, BLG was the first team to qualify for the Playoffs, while Team Secret Whales ended their journey after a disappointing loss to BNK FearX.

Bilibili Gaming dominates G2, securing a spot in the Playoffs.

The opening match of Day 3 of First Stand 2026 was expected by international League of Legends fans to be a closely contested affair, but Bilibili Gaming (BLG) said no. From the very first game, BLG played extremely solidly and dominated G2. It seemed that after their defeats against G2 at EWC and the 2025 World Championship, BLG entered this match with high determination. As for G2, the image of the recent LEC champion Versus was nowhere to be seen.

Facing Knight, Caps suddenly became incredibly harmless, Xun completely outclassed SkewMond, while Viper simply performed as he has been doing in this First Stand 2026. After a dominant first game, game 2 saw G2's resurgence. However, everything quickly crumbled when BLG capitalized on Bin's  Gnar power  and gave  Labrov's Neeko  no chance. Consecutive teamfight victories propelled BLG to a 2-0 lead.

Finally, the third game continued to see BLG completely dominate all three lanes, securing a highly convincing 3-0 victory. BLG's macro-driven win and masterful team composition demonstrated their burning desire to snatch the First Stand championship from the LCK.

This would also make them formidable opponents for GEN.G, who are almost certain to qualify for the Playoffs after easily defeating JD Gaming 3-0 earlier. As for G2, they still have one more chance in the Lower Bracket, but with their next opponent, the pressure will undoubtedly be immense on Caps and his teammates.

A spectacular battle ensued, with BFX showcasing their class against TSW.

In the other Losers Bracket match, unsurprisingly, BNK FearX (BFX), the runner-up of the LCK Cup 2026, secured a 3-0 victory against Team Secret Whales (TSW). The sole representative from the LCP region, and indeed from Vietnamese League of Legends, showed a significantly greater effort compared to their match against G2. However, the weaknesses in their Mid Lane and ADC positions became too apparent, making it difficult for the team to execute their strategy effectively in the latter half of each game.

While Pun's top lane performance was surprising, almost completely dominating Clear on the opposing team, Hizto also had three fairly good games, nearly matching Raptor's. Bie also demonstrated impressive tactical vision and quality support. However, Dire continued to struggle against a very skilled VicLa.

He showed a lack of experience in balancing supporting teammates and farming minions. The superiority of VicLa, a player who had previously played for KT Rolster for many years and also had the opportunity to experience Western-style League of Legends under the FlyQuest banner, contributed to BFX's overwhelming victory.

Meanwhile, in the bottom lane, Eddie, despite his best efforts, showed signs of fatigue and a disappointing decline in performance. Even in the decisive third game, although he performed better than Diable in the laning phase, Eddie made numerous mistakes in team fights. Constantly moving away from his teammates or positioning himself incorrectly repeatedly put him in danger, and facing a VicLa who was already too strong in the laning phase, Eddie didn't have many opportunities to contribute.

Ultimately, TSW had to accept defeat at First Stand 2026 without a single victory. There were moments of individual brilliance, but in a sport that demands consistency across multiple positions, one or two players simply cannot carry the entire team.

Pun did a great job showing he wasn't afraid of any opponent, from G2's BrokenBlade to BFX's Clear. But Dire and Eddie didn't seem ready for the big stage of First Stand. Both will need more time to practice and regain their form, proving to Coach Warhorse that they have the potential to become better.

A tough, do-or-die match for the home team CBLOL

The fourth day of First Stand 2026 will feature two rather one-sided matches, with GEN.G facing LYON and JD Gaming taking on LOUD. Given that the LCS representatives struggled to overcome the host team CBLOL, it wouldn't be surprising if GEN.G secured a 3-0 victory in less than 90 minutes. Meanwhile, JDG is certainly looking to redeem themselves, and a dominant win against LOUD would be essential for HongQ and JunJia to prove they still crave the championship.

After today, First Stand 2026 will have only one more match to determine the semi-final pairings, followed by two days of decisive competition to find the tournament champion. Let's wait and see what scenario will unfold: Will Viper/HongQ - JunJia win their second consecutive championship, will GEN.G assert their absolute dominance, or will some unexpected name (like BFX) shine and claim the prestigious trophy? All will be revealed after March 22nd.
