First Stand 2026: GEN.G and JD Gaming Quickly End BO5 Series

As expected in Group B, both GEN.G and JD Gaming secured victories against LYON and LOUD respectively, thus determining the second team to conclude their First Stand 2026 journey.

Playing cleanly, GEN.G dominated LYON.

Day 4 of the First Stand 2026 tournament concluded with decisive victories for both GEN.G and JD Gaming. In the opening match, GEN.G continued their overwhelming dominance, completely stunning the LCS representatives. While LYON's efforts were undeniable, securing some successful team fights, once GEN.G's lineup warmed up, they relentlessly pushed the pace and swiftly finished the first game.

Moving on to the next two games, there were virtually no surprises. LYON continued their efforts to overcome GEN.G in the early stages, and then the LCK Cup 2026 champions gradually regained control with victorious team fights. Ultimately, GEN.G continued their undefeated streak, especially with all three games ending within approximately 25 minutes. This result not only demonstrated GEN.G's dominance but also showcased their incredibly precise timing.

With this result, GEN.G is the next team to advance to the First Stand 2026 Playoffs, while LYON will seek their opportunity in the Losers Bracket match. However, this will certainly be a tough challenge, as their opponent in the next match is no longer the home team CBLOL.

Home team LOUD put up a tenacious fight against JD Gaming.

After witnessing GEN.G easily secure their spot in the First Stand 2026 Playoffs, JD Gaming (JDG) seemed quite frustrated. However, LOUD proved why they could push LYON to a fifth game. From the opening game, mid laner Envy played exceptionally well and helped the home team CBLOL avoid being completely outmatched by the LPL 2026 Split 1 runner-up.

Unfortunately, those attempts at skirmishes couldn't translate into victory as JDG still held a clear macro advantage. By controlling the Dragon buff, JDG gradually regained control of the game, leading to successful team fights. Additionally, mistakes from YoungJae contributed to LOUD losing their initial lead. Ultimately, JDG took a 1-0 lead after 29 minutes of play, demonstrating the CBLOL representative's strong effort.

In the second game, things unfolded much more quickly as the duo of JunJia and HongQ secured numerous kills, while on LOUD's side, only YoungJae had a significant advantage. After securing the Dragon Soul within 24 minutes, JDG pushed straight into the enemy base and took a 2-0 lead at minute 25. Ultimately, in the decisive game, JDG remained completely dominant, leading by over 7,000 gold after just 15 minutes of play. The match officially ended at the end of minute 20, with the LPL representative leading by over 13,000 gold.

This victory gives JD Gaming a ticket to the decisive match against LYON to seek a chance to advance to the 2026 First Stand Playoffs. Thus, day 5 of the competition - today, March 20th - will be the battle to decide the remaining two teams for the O Playoffs. While the match between JDG and LYON is likely to be relatively one-sided in favor of the LPL representative, the match between G2 and BNK FearX (BFX) looks more interesting.
