Get a newly released game for free on Steam, offer doesn't last long.

The PC gaming community now has an unparalleled opportunity to add a new title to their Steam library without spending a single penny.

Lost in Anomaly, a horror puzzle game in the style of 'anomaly hunting,' is currently being offered for free for a limited time. However, this offer will end on February 16th, meaning players only have a few days left to quickly claim the game and keep it permanently.

Despite its original price of only around 60,000 VND and still being in Early Access, Lost in Anomaly has attracted attention thanks to its use of the formula that helped The Exit 8 become a phenomenon on Steam in 2023.

Instead of focusing on a complex storyline or fast-paced combat mechanics, the game places players in a mysterious, enclosed space and challenges their ability to observe even the smallest details.

In the game, players enter the ninth floor of a strange building. The task seems simple: memorize the environmental structure and detect any anomalies appearing on each floor. If all the anomalies are correctly marked, the elevator will take you to the next floor. But just one small mistake and the entire process will restart from the beginning.

This repetitive mechanism creates the characteristic tension of the anomaly-hunting genre—a subgenre of horror games combined with puzzles. Players are forced to concentrate intensely, as changes in the environment can be incredibly subtle: an object disappearing, a light misaligned, or a small detail shifting position.

Beyond mere observation, Lost in Anomaly incorporates terrifying creatures that can pursue the protagonist. This makes the experience significantly more suspenseful, as players not only need to search every corner of the room but also be wary of unexpected threats that can appear at any moment. According to the developer, Aximus Games, each playthrough of Lost in Anomaly lasts from 25 to 75 minutes, depending on the player's skill. The environment is realistically constructed, combined with sound effects and background music to enhance the eerie atmosphere.

Some anomalies can only be detected using UV light – a small detail, but enough to add depth to the gameplay. The extensive list of anomalies also ensures that each playthrough offers a distinct experience, preventing repetitive boredom.

To date, the game has received a positive rating of around 80% on Steam. Many players praise its use of sound and unpredictable jumpscares. However, some have commented that the game lacks innovation and has some technical bugs, which is not surprising for a product in Early Access.

This free trial program is being implemented to attract more players before the official release of version 1.0. After February 16th, Lost in Anomaly will return to its regular price.
