Steam's amazing deal: Get 4 incredibly exciting new games completely free!
The free game library on Steam has continued to expand recently, offering even more attractive options for the PC gaming community.
This time, Valve's platform has added four completely free games, allowing players to easily download and experience them without spending any money.
Although not blockbuster games with huge budgets, these four new titles still create a fairly diverse list in terms of gameplay styles.
Specifically, they all feature fast-paced action gameplay, suitable for gamers who enjoy challenging their skills or aiming for high scores. The four games that have just joined Steam's free game library are Escape Up, Crimson Loop, Dog's Waltz, and Ze Gunner. In fact, Steam frequently offers free games. However, most of these programs only last for a short time as giveaways or special promotions. In contrast, the four games mentioned above were released as free-to-play from the start, meaning players can download and play them anytime.
These games also launched around the same time as Steam Next Fest, which takes place at the end of February – an event that often sees many new indie projects introduced to the community. Despite their differing ideas, all four titles share a strong focus on action and a scoring system, encouraging players to constantly improve their performance. This is especially evident in Escape Up and Dog's Walts – games that are fast-paced and progressively more difficult over time.
In Dog's Walts, players control a hammer-wielding dog in chaotic, physics-based battles. Gameplay revolves around eliminating enemies, dodging attacks, and aiming for the highest score in a challenging score-attack system. Meanwhile, Escape Up offers a classic platforming action experience. The player's mission is to climb higher and higher through a series of monster-filled rooms. The game combines combat, platforming, and time pressure, making each playthrough a tense race against time.
Another notable title is Crimson Loop – a roguelite game centered around survival against increasingly dangerous waves of monsters. The game utilizes a familiar auto-shooter mechanism, allowing the character to automatically attack while the player focuses on movement and skill upgrades. This formula has become popular thanks to games like Magic Survival and Vampire Survivors.
Ultimately, Ze Gunner offers a simple yet effective defensive strategy experience. In the game, players operate a 360-degree rotating artillery system to defend their base – the last line of defense for human forces. Gameplay focuses on quick reflexes, accurate aiming, and managing increasingly relentless waves of enemies.
