Pokémon Champions has set a release date for Nintendo Switch.
The Pokémon Company has officially confirmed that Pokémon Champions will be released on April 8, 2026, for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
During the Pokémon Presents live stream celebrating Pokémon Day, the publisher hinted at a console release window in April 2026. Additionally, a mobile version was confirmed for release later this year. Now, the development team has publicly announced the most specific details.
According to The Pokémon Company's latest blog post, in addition to confirming the release date for Switch and Switch 2, the company also introduced the Starter Pack. Owning this content pack will grant players many practical in-game privileges such as expanded Pokémon storage, new battle soundtracks, and other attractive benefits. Notably, the Switch 2 version will receive a dedicated update to comprehensively upgrade the game's graphics.
The most notable feature of Pokémon Champions is that it allows players to use the creatures they have painstakingly collected from previous game versions through the intermediary app Pokémon Home to participate in intense battles with other players.
