Riot Games Officially Announces Agent Mikas, Featured in Act 2 of VALORANT Season 2026
Following its reveal at the VALORANT Masters Santiago 2026 tournament, Riot Games has now officially released a trailer introducing the new Agent: Controller Miks.
VALORANT welcomes a new Controller with a vibrant musical style.
Developed by Riot Games to compete with many other hero-based shooter games, it is currently one of the most popular esports titles. The game's biggest appeal lies in its uniquely designed agents, each with an impressive skill set. Riot Games also frequently leverages the allure of the esports ecosystem to build anticipation for new agents, revealing them at major tournaments.
That tradition continues in Season 2026, with the 30th agent revealed at VALORANT Masters Santiago 2026. Named after the first, this will be the seventh Controller in the game, and the first added in almost two years since its launch in March 2024. Miks is also one of the few agents capable of healing multiple opponents through his basic ability "M-PULSE," and can also be used to CC enemies.
All of Miks ' design elements revolve around sound energy, with a strong musical feel evident in the trailer. The official trailer features Zedd's popular EDM track, with vocals by Foxes. The agent will officially enter the VALORANT arena through the Act 2 update, released today, March 18th. In the superhero shooter genre, musically themed characters are nothing new, with prime examples in Overwatch and Marvel Rivals .
Miks' M-Pulse
Controller is one of the most important roles in the game, with ultimate abilities often helping to control space, along with skills that obscure the opponent's vision. This aids in attacking or recapturing sites. However, it's been quite a while since a Controller -oriented Agent has truly dominated the meta. The upcoming game promises to give "main Controller" players a chance to shine. The release of a new character is always a good opportunity for hero-themed shooters to attract new players or bring back old ones.

One of the companies that understands this very well is MIK, and they frequently add new characters thanks to their vast library of resources. Riot Games , however, doesn't have the resources to expand the number of Agents in VALORANT , so they don't add new characters to every Act. Therefore, they focus on optimizing the agents they introduce, ensuring each release is positively received by the community. Given the popularity of music-themed characters in other hero shooter games, MIK has a good chance of also being well-received by the community.
