The Lycan 8K is one of G-Wolves' new mice, and its advantage is that it weighs only about 28.8 grams. Reducing weight without having to drill holes in the casing is generally a good thing for many people, as it gives this new mouse an extremely good aesthetic.
The Lycan weighs less than the Corsair Saber V2 Pro, a mouse with a very light weight of just 36 grams and a unibody (no holes) casing. Although you can reduce weight even more by drastically perforating, like G-Wolves' Fenrir Pro 8K, which weighs only 18.9 grams.
However, the Lycan doesn't seem to have cut corners on key features to reduce weight. It's equipped with a Pixart PMW-3950 sensor (up to 30K DPI resolution and front-mounted), an 8K sampling rate as the name suggests, and SPDT/SR-Latch switches.
The Lycan 8K has standard dimensions of 119 x 63 x 37 mm, with the buttons only 7 mm from the touchpad, and as can be seen from the side profile, the underside of the mouse has a very minimalist design. However, it's noteworthy that no images are printed directly onto the underside of the mouse, giving it a rather simple appearance.
The Lycan 8K is priced at $129, although pre-orders are currently only available. The mouse will go on sale on March 15th, although the website also states March 15th.
