The massive number of cameos in Astro Bot actually points to just how much the PS5 is lacking in exclusive games.

The idea of ​​'cameo' appearances has become something that almost every media outlet does at some point. Whether it's comics, TV shows, movies, or even video games, developers can't help but include small references or glimpses of things from other products. It might be to add a bit of humor, to show their fondness for the product, or simply to promote it. In the case of Astro Bot, the cameo is a little more significant than in other games. You see, you're both rescuing and playing as some kind of "VIP Bot," characters that directly reference previous video games on various PlayStation systems that Sony has produced.

Astro Bot is an excellent game and fully deserving of a Game of the Year nomination.
