Fatal Frame 2 Remake releases free costume update in collaboration with Silent Hill.

In late January 2026, two major companies, Koei Tecmo and Konami, caused a stir among the gaming community when they revealed a free combined costume DLC for the characters Mio Amakura and Hinako Shimizu.

The most notable highlight of this DLC is the outfit called the Navy Sailor School Uniform. This is a perfect replica, faithfully recreating the eerie outfit that Hinako wore in her own world. However, the privilege of wearing this outfit will be reserved exclusively for her younger sister, Mio.

However, players don't need to worry too much about the disadvantage faced by the twin sister Mayu. When downloading this content pack, gamers will receive an additional Fox Mask. This accessory is designed to be worn on the head like a hair accessory, and the biggest advantage is that both sisters Mio and Mayu can use it.

The official trailer released by Koei Tecmo also confirmed that players can equip this mask to both characters at the same time, creating a haunting and impressive scene.

In addition to releasing free DLC, a special bundle combining both games on the PC platform has also officially launched on Steam. This offer gives gamers the chance to own both Fatal Frame 2 Remake and Silent Hill f at a 10% discount compared to buying them separately, for only $107.98.

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake officially launched on March 12, 2026, on multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Players can now access and experience the Hinako-style costume DLC pack and its exclusive accessories. Meanwhile, the horror blockbuster Silent Hill f is also currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
