Ivy Road, the developer of Wanderstop, is closing down!

Ivy Road, the developer of Wanderstop , has just announced that it will officially close at the end of March.

Throughout its history, although the company has only released one product, Wanderstop , the game has received much praise from both critics and the gaming community.

Regarding the reason for the closure, the developer stated that they were in the process of developing their second project – a game called Engine Angel. They were very excited about developing this game, but were unable to secure funding and were forced to shut it down.

'It's hard to put into words how grateful we are to have had the opportunity to work together on Wanderstop – it truly was an amazing team!' 

Although we were incredibly excited about the prospect of working on a new project called Engine Angel, sadly we were unable to secure funding, leading to the studio's forced closure.

 

On Wanderstop's part , the developer confirmed that players will still be able to purchase and experience the game even after the company closes down. Additionally, Ivy Road stated that there is one more announcement to be made, which Annapurna Interactive – the game's publisher – will share later.

Additionally, the company has added a Chapter Select feature to the game.

While on the home screen, use the d-pad and press the following buttons: up, left, down, right, up, B (right-click), up, right, down, left, up, B (right-click), up, down, up.

For those who don't know, Ivy Road was founded by well-known figures in the indie gaming scene including: Davey Wreden (the creator of The Stanley Parable and The Beginner's Guide ), Karla Zimonja (the creator of Gone Home and Tacoma ), and Daniel 'C418' Rosenfeld (composer for Minecraft ).
