CDPR reveals progress on new project: The potential masterpiece 'Hadar' is gradually taking shape.
According to information from the financial results report for fiscal year 2025, published on March 20, 2026, CD Projekt Red ( CDPR ) has revealed the latest details about the project codenamed " Hadar ". This is the company's third original IP since its initial announcement in 2022 and has been kept highly secret.
The report states that the project is currently in a "dynamic development" phase, where the production team has clearly defined the characteristics of the game world and established core pillars. These foundations not only serve the first game but also act as "common ground" for future derivative products.
Currently, the development team is actively designing specific elements of the game and creating numerous prototypes directly on Unreal Engine 5 to test the mechanics and gameplay in a real-time environment. Despite its ambitious goals, "Hadar" is still in its very early stages, with the research and development phase having just officially transitioned from "laying the foundation" to "the conceptual design phase for the first video game." As of February 28, 2026, the core development team for this project only consists of 26 people.
Considering that CDPR's current focus remains on The Witcher 4 — which isn't expected to launch until after 2027 at the earliest — "Hadar" likely still has a long way to go before officially debuting to the gaming community. However, given the Polish developer's tradition of building deep worlds, this is certainly a promising "stock" worth waiting for in the coming years.
