Has Final Fantasy 9 Remake been 'frozen'?

Based on recent information, there's a high probability that Square Enix has 'frozen' the development of Final Fantasy 9 Remake .

In his podcast, NateTheHate (an industry insider) stated that the game's development process has been "frozen." However, he indicated that Square Enix could absolutely return and resume development in the future if they wished.

'The last time I heard about it, the game was still on hold. Now, being on hold means Square Enix could come back and continue working on the project in the future.'

However, as far as I know, the project has not made any progress at all. 

I hope that one day Square Enix will return to the game, and we'll get to experience Final Fantasy 9 Remake .

Notably, this isn't the first time information about the existence of this 'remake' project has been leaked online by industry 'leakers'. Previously, there were numerous reports indicating that the game's development had encountered many difficulties and had even been halted.

Currently, we still have no official information about Final Fantasy 9 Remake from Square Enix.
