Resident Evil Requiem: Many Believe a Hidden Detail Reveals the Next Remake

Resident Evil Requiem contains an Easter egg that is believed to be a direct reference to the Resident Evil remake, Code: Veronica, a game that many sources believe will be the next installment in the franchise.

After experiencing Capcom's new survival horror game, the player community has discovered many interesting hidden details during their exploration. Some Easter eggs are quite easy to spot, while others require players to investigate more thoroughly.

For example, to uncover a hidden detail related to the game, players need to use the freecam tool on the PC version to see a piece of content that refers to the events of this game and the fate of the related characters.

However, another hidden detail has been discovered that is much easier to find. In the bar lounge of the Rhodes Hill care center, players can see several different bottles of liquor. One of them has a label that is believed to be an anagram of the word 'Veronica' . This has led many to believe that this is a rather obvious hint to [the game].

For those unfamiliar with the game, Resident Evil Code: Veronica was initially released exclusively on the Sega Dreamcast before being ported to other platforms via upgraded versions. The game received very positive reviews upon release, although it was later criticized for certain aspects, such as the ease with which players can get stuck on their first attempt if they don't manage their resources well.

The image of the wine bottle is reminiscent of Resident Evil Village.

Additionally, another bottle of wine is labeled as being bottled at  Chateau Dimitrescu,  the castle of the famous female villain  Lady Dimitrescu  in the game. Despite her limited screen time, she is known for her incredibly striking appearance, so her mention in the game is quite interesting.

Over time, it's likely that more hidden details will be discovered, such as some images supposedly related to the two games, and it will be interesting to see what other secrets the fan community will uncover in the future.

When  Capcom announced the Resident Evil 4   remake  after the third installment, many fans worried that  Code: Veronica  would be completely omitted. Despite not following the traditional numbering system, it still contained many important plot points for the franchise.

Fortunately, recent leaks suggest that  Code: Veronica  will be the next project to be remade, possibly even launching in early 2027. If this information is accurate, fans could get to experience it in about a year.
