Where Winds Meet reveals new gameplay features in a special presentation.
EverStone Studio today showcased brand-new features and gameplay in a digital presentation for their highly anticipated open-world martial arts action-adventure game, Where Winds Meet . The game will be released globally on November 14, 2025, for PC and PlayStation 5.
During the event, the studio also celebrated the impressive milestone of 10 million pre-registrations. Players can begin pre-downloading the game from 2 PM PST on November 12th (5 AM on November 13th in Vietnam), before the game's official release.
Short trailer recap of the presentation.
During this special presentation, EverStone Studio guided viewers through the new features and gameplay experiences that will be available in the game when it launches later this month.
The opening segment of the presentation introduced the player's journey starting in Qinghe – a peaceful countryside with vast fields and countless hidden mysteries, before progressing to Kaifeng – a vibrant ancient city with over 10,000 NPCs, each with their own motivations and stories. With over 1,200 cultural artifacts to discover, the player's adventure becomes a journey through the living heritage of ancient China. The studio also shared more about the combat system in Where Winds Meet, described as fast-paced, flexible, and highly customizable. Players can master traditional weapons like swords and spears, or try their hand at creative, martial arts-inspired weapons like umbrellas and fans. The game features 12 martial arts styles and 23 magical skills, all choreographed by Stephen Tung Wai, a four-time winner of the Best Choreography award at the Hong Kong Film Awards.
Where Winds Meet's storyline unfolds through main and hidden routes, encouraging players to gather clues from the environment, NPCs, and artifacts to uncover the deep conspiracy connected to the imperial court. The studio also confirmed during the livestream that all in-game content is completely free, with no mode or progression limits, and no pay-to-win elements. EverStone Studio stated during the global launch presentation: "All newly released gameplay content will be completely free."
Players are free to enjoy every mode, exploring, fighting, or living the life of a wanderer in a world shaped by love, justice, and limitless possibilities. Following release, EverStone Studio will roll out themed seasonal updates, starting with the first season titled 'Blade Out,' expanding the main storyline and introducing new gameplay experiences. Some seasons will delve deeper into the central narrative, while others will bring new game modes and limited-time events—all aimed at solidifying Where Winds Meet as the first true open-world martial arts game.
The livestream concluded with a special thank you to the players, as EverStone Studio gifted all players with welcome presents on launch day, along with many surprises waiting to be discovered in the game. In addition, 10 lucky players from the pre-registered group will be selected to share a $2,000 travel fund – just in time for them to take a vacation on November 14th and begin their adventure.
