Resident Evil Requiem Guide: Special Content You Should Unlock Early for NG+

After completing the main storyline of Resident Evil Requiem, players will be able to use Completion Points to unlock additional special content, supporting the New Game+ progression.

Like all previous installments,  RE Requiem  also features Special Content that can be unlocked after completing the main story at least once. Typically, a single playthrough in Standard (Modern) mode will earn players around 10,000 CP, enough to unlock 1 to 2 special contents for the next playthrough. Let's take a look at some of the extremely useful Special Content that you should consider unlocking as soon as possible.

Kotetsu (Grace)

Unlock condition:  Purchase with 5,000 CP.
Function:  Grace 's knife   never breaks.

Kotetsu  will allow  Grace  to receive a knife from  the Item Box,  which can be found next to the typewriter in any room used for game saving. As described, it is a knife that never breaks, giving  Grace  countless opportunities to attack Zombies.

Although  Grace  could later find  Makeshift Knives around the Care Center   area  , with the Kotetsu unlocked  she wouldn't need them anymore and would still have a knife for self-defense.

Rugged Rookie Charm (Grace)

Unlock condition:  Purchase for 6,500 CP.
Effect:  Increases firepower when placed in inventory.

Although it's a bit expensive, the  Rugged Rookie Charm  will give  Grace another survival advantage . After purchasing it and obtaining it from  the Item BoxGrace  simply places it in her inventory, and her firepower will increase significantly. This way,  Grace  can take down zombies with just a few shots, instead of having to use up almost a magazine like before.

Matsuoka Master Manual (Grace)

Unlock condition:  Purchase with 1,000 CP.
Effect:  Increases Blood Collector 's capacity by 50 points.

The Blood Collector  is a useful item for  Grace,  allowing her to collect blood from puddles on the floor, blood bags, and from the corpses of enemies. However, its default capacity is only around 100.

After purchasing upgrades from  Parlor  and combining them with  the Matsuoka Master Manual, the Blood Collector  can collect up to 200 Blood Collectors. This makes   crafting easier  for Grace , and she can even use the Empty Injector  to craft permanent health and damage upgrades.

Advanced Tuning (Leon)

Unlock condition:  Destroy 25  Mr. Raccoon statues.
Effect:  Unlocks an additional level of weapon customization.

Regarding Leon  's Special Content  , Advanced Tuning will be extremely useful, and players simply need to destroy all the  Mr. Raccoon  statues around the game's three main areas:  Care Center, Raccoon City  , and  ARK . There are a total of 25 statues, and a guide to their locations will be posted later (or a map revealing their locations can be purchased).

After obtaining the  Advanced Tuning upgrade,  players can access  the Supply Box  while controlling  Leon  to purchase additional upgrades for weapon parts. In the main game,  Leon  only reaches upgrade tier 2. But with  Advanced Tuning,  he can upgrade to Tier 3, increasing damage, holding more ammunition, and allowing for faster reloading, etc.

Catter Carbine (Leon)

Unlock condition:  Purchase for 6,000 CP.
Uses:  A rifle with a large suppressor. It has a medium rate of fire, but each shot is very painful. Uses machine gun ammunition.

If you feel  Leon  isn't "firepower" enough, this might be the best option. Throughout the early stages of the game, players will likely find themselves picking up quite a lot of machine gun ammunition and selling it more often than using it. Basically, the default machine gun isn't as useful as other weapons you can find.

But with  the Clatter Carbine,  that problem is solved. With its abundant ammunition,  the Clatter Carbine  becomes incredibly useful with its devastating damage output, large magazine capacity, and excellent aiming capabilities. This is a necessary choice for a second playthrough when controlling  Leon .

Tactical Tracker Modded (Leon)

Unlock condition:  Purchase for 3,000 CP.
Uses:  Adjust  Tactical Tracker  to earn more money.

Leon  can find  Tactical Trackers in the Central Camp   area  , inside the western part of  Raccoon City . With this item, each zombie killed will give the player 500 Credits, which can then be exchanged in  Supply Boxes  for  Leon  to buy new weapons, resources, and other additional upgrades.

Especially after purchasing the  Tactical Tracker (Modded) upgrade,  players will receive even more money. With a city teeming with zombies like  Raccoon,  getting rich isn't difficult. Combined with  Advanced Tuning Special Content , players can purchase Tier 3 upgrades extremely easily.
