Detailed Plot Summary of Resident Evil Requiem - Part 2: Survival in Hell

Grace Ashcroft is an FBI agent on her first assignment at the Wrenwood Hotel, but she is kidnapped by Victor Gideon. Leon S. Kennedy also appears to investigate this mysterious figure, alongside his own illness.

Hell at the Infectious Disease Care Center

While Leon was on his way to this mysterious Care Center, Grace was also brought back to the center by Victor and was having her blood extracted. After waking up, she found a way to untie herself and tried to escape from this horrific place. Searching through the large, dimly lit house, Grace found a room that seemed to be for children, containing many toys and a picture book about monsters, instructing her to stay in a well-lit area when the monsters came looking.

Shortly afterward, Grace was horrified to discover a dead body. After examining it, she realized he had been infected with a virus. Although she didn't know what strain it was, she didn't have time to think because a large hand reached in. The monster chased after Grace. Remembering what was written in the book, she ran into the room with the light. And indeed, the monster couldn't enter because its body was burned by the light. After managing to open the door, Grace was grabbed by the monster and dragged back inside, even though its own skin was burned by the light.

Before  Grace  was captured by the monster,  Leon  arrived at the hospital and was quite surprised to be greeted by a nurse who told him that  Gideon  was waiting for him. After being invited into the office,  Leon  looked around, searching for information, unaware that all his actions were being monitored.

At that moment, an emergency alert blared over the loudspeaker. The nurse told  Leon  to leave immediately because of a sudden outbreak, but the doctor had become infected and used a chainsaw to kill the nurse. Leon was then forced to deal with the infected individuals, and coincidentally ran into the central hall where he saw  Grace  being attacked by the monster.

Victor offers to speak to  Leon,  but Leon refuses and is then seized.  Victor  sees the symptoms on  Leon's body  and claims it's the  Umbrella curse , then strangles him until he loses consciousness.

As for  Grace ,  while trying to escape the care center, she discovered a peculiar cellar with a man slumped on the floor and two isolation rooms. One room contained only a doll, the other a little girl with silvery white hair. The girl was engrossed in reading, but it was actually a Braille book, as she herself had cataracts and couldn't see. As Grace  was  trying to talk to the girl, the man suddenly yelled, telling her to stay away from the girl before collapsing and dying.

Elphis and the aftermath of Raccoon City

At this time, the Care Center is overrun with zombies, but this new strain still retains some of its former occupations. From cooks and cleaners to patients, it repeatedly performs specific actions. Moreover, Grace is being pursued by a gigantic monster.

After a struggle inside the building, Grace encounters Victor Gideon again. He calmly assures her that he will not harm her. When Grace asks why she was kidnapped, Gideon claims he is merely "freeing" her. He asserts that Grace is the "unique" factor in Elpis's liberation.

Unexpectedly, the alarm went off, and Victor said it was phase 2. Grace tricked Victor into escaping, then found the Head of Security's office at the Center. There, she found a photograph of two girls who looked like twins; one of them was the girl she had seen in the basement.

Having obtained the Level 3 Security Bracelet,  Grace  realized she needed the visually impaired girl to solve the final puzzle, so she went down to unlock it. The girl introduced herself as  Emily,  and  Grace  led her to the Head of Security's office to solve the puzzle. However, as soon as the puzzle was solved, the monster  Leon  had shot earlier suddenly reappeared and abducted  Emily  .

Back at the mansion, Leon is captured by Victor, who questions him about his purpose. Victor tries to provoke  Leon  by exploiting his medical condition, but Leon manages to stall him and escape. Victor then leaves, leaving  Leon  to fend for himself against the monsters in the mansion, including the giant creature that had previously pursued  Grace .

If  Grace  doesn't completely eliminate the zombies, they have the potential to revive and transform into a more unpleasant form, but that's still nothing compared to  Leon . He finds  Victor's secret office,  then contacts the informant to hack into the system.

Later, the girl found documents related to the T-Virus and confirmed that she and  Leon  were both infected. She also wore a glove on one hand, as if to cover the hand that was necrotic due to the virus. At this point, the girl's identity was confirmed as the daughter of the person  Leon  and  Claire  had rescued at  Raccoon City  during the outbreak years ago.

Both were among those who had a temporary resistance to the disease, but couldn't completely eliminate the virus, resulting in a longer-than-normal incubation period. In hospital records, they found information about [name], a name  Victor  had mentioned earlier, along with a picture of  Grace,  suggesting she might be involved.
