Marvel Rivals will add a new PvE mode to version 17.5.

A new PvE mode called Blood Hunt is coming to Marvel Rivals in Season 7.5, and players will have the chance to experience it for themselves on April 23rd.

Marvel Rivals update 7.5 adds a new PvE mode.

Launched in 2024, NetEase's Marvel Rivals has achieved great success with the community of superhero shooter game fans. Inspired by games like  Overwatch, Marvel Rivals  boasts a huge roster of playable characters spanning decades of Marvel comic book history. Season 7 of  Marvel Rivals  began last month with the first new addition. Version 7.5 will launch on April 17th, featuring  Felicia Hardy (Black Cat) .

Since the 1970s, Felicia has been one of Spider-Man's most beloved supporting characters, and even once played the love interest of the wall-climbing hero. This character will be a Duelist when she officially appears in Marvel Rivals . Additionally, on April 23rd, a brand new PvE experience will officially launch in the game. According to NetEase,  Blood Hunt  arrives earlier than expected and features a new storyline.

Players will face four bosses in this mode, although their identities haven't been revealed yet. However, based on some of the artwork released by the development team, the most likely choice seems to be Dracula , a key character in Season 1 of Marvel Rivals , and this villain also plays a significant role in the 2024 comic book storyline, also titled Blood Hunt . Based on the limited information revealed, it's highly probable that players will have to battle ferocious vampires when this mode launches.

It needs to be different from previous Marvel Zombies.

Marvel Rivals ' first PvE mode was released late last year, and it seems players can expect some changes from that mode. NetEase says Blood Hunt will include a progression system and new traits for heroes, along with a loot system.

Further details are still quite limited, but with the mode launching next week, fans probably won't have to wait long for more information. It's too early to say whether Blood Hunt will be compelling enough for new players, but last year's Marvel Zombies PvE mode proved to be a success.

NetEase wants Marvel Rivals to go beyond traditional 6v6 gameplay, and expanded game modes could attract new players after they've seen movies like Spider-Man: Brand New Day . The franchise has a rich history to explore, and Marvel Rivals has also built its own unique storyline. Storyline is often just a secondary element in PvP shooters, but expanding into more PvE content could help Marvel Rivals further solidify its distinct identity.
